BIOGRAPHY
Ronaldo Navarro was born in Sao Paulo (Brazil), where he completed his ballet education in two different ballet schools (method: Royal Academy of Dance). There he danced in school performances, at various dance events and at competitions. He also worked as a freelance dance columnist for a newspaper.
Ronaldo has been living in Germany since 1993. His first engagement was at the Municipal Theatre of Bremerhaven, where he gained a lot of experience with contemporary dance and as a musical performer.
He then moved to Bremen, where he worked as a freelance dancer, also at the theatre of some cities (Lübeck, Bonn, Berlin. During that time, he took part in the opening performances of important events, such as Expo 2000 in Hanover and Capital of Culture 2003 in Graz (with choreography by Reinhild Hoffmann).
He also choreographed and danced his own solo works.
In 2001, Ronaldo received a permanent engagement with Johann Kresnik's Choreographic Theatre at the Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg Platz in Berlin, and from 2003 to 2006 at the Bonn Opera House.
In addition to Johann Kresnik and Reinhild Hoffmann, Ronaldo has worked with other renowned with other renowned personalities from the theatre world, such as Werner Schroetter and Konstanze Lauterbach.
Ronaldo has also produced several short films, which were presented in the city of Bonn in three video events.
In 2007, he moved to Düsseldorf and danced in several opera productions at the Opeer House (Deutsche Oper am Rhein). He also worked as a production assistant at the Opera House and at the Robert Schumann Academy of Music.
Since 2011, Ronaldo has been working as a classical ballet teacher in Düsseldorf (e.g. at the academy of the tanzhaus nrw) and also in several cities in the surroundings (Cologne, Solingen) and has continued to work as a guest production assistant at the Opera House.
In 2020, he was commissioned for the first time to create a choreography for a video production (Curtain - at Vimeo).
In 2022 Ronaldo was offered a contract as school director of a professional education dance school in Berlin (Dance Works), but he decided to continuing living in Düsseldorf.
He has written and published seven books in his native language until today. In July 2016, he published a book in Brazil about his experiences of dance ("Stages of a dance artist"). This book has been translated into German and English language and is available for purchase.

1986 Sao Paulo Municipal School of Ballet. Certificate Royal Academy of Dancing (London) Elementary Examination with the result 'Highly Commended'.
1987-1992 Performances of the ballet school / Several dance festivals and competitions in Brazil. Begining to develop own choreographic works.Work as a dance columnist for a newspaper in Sao Paulo published in English "SUNDAY NEWS".
1993 Moving to Europe (Germany) in order to look for new horizons and new experiences.
1993-1996 Dancer at the Ballet Company of the Municipal Theatre of Bremerhaven
1996-2000 Performances in Bremen, Bremerhaven, Bonn, Lübeck and Berlin as a guest dancer. Besides, performances of own pieces (solos).
2000-2002 Solodancer at the Volksbühne in Berlin by the Choreographic Theatre Company of Johann Kresnik and Guest dancer at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
2002-2003 Guest dancer at the event Cultural Capital of Europe Graz - Austria (Opera "Begehren").
2003-2006 Solodancer at the Opera House Bonn (Direction - Johann Kresnik)
2006-2008 First experiences with short movies and dance videos (direction, camera, editing). Art Photography.
2009-2017 Guest dancer in Düsseldorf - Opera House and Schauspielhaus. School fo Music Robert Schumann, as assistent of Direction.
